Rob Stockam (Guitar, Bass, Drums) A professional musician for more than 16 years, Rob has worked in Nashville and toured throughout the United States, opening for, and working with, some of the biggest names in the music industry. Now performing locally with his band, Bad Influence (voted Merced's Number 1 band in 2006), Rob is one of the only music teachers in the area who have actual experience working as a full time musician. Songwriter, Lead and Rhythm Guitar Player, Drummer and Lead Singer, Rob brings an expertise to his teaching that comes from personal experience. He also developed the "band camp" concept that groups our young students in a working band configuration, giving them exposure to working in an actual performance environment with other musicians of their level.
Bobbie Frye (Vocals, Keyboard, Piano) Bobbie has been training and singing for more than 30 years, and has worked as a Worship Pastor, band leader, and choir director. Bobbie is one of the few teachers that believe students can begin musical training as young as 3 years old. She has developed her own successful teaching program for very young beginners, as well as a specialized program for older piano students. She has also created a unique vocal coaching system that pairs classical techniques with contemporary style. Students develop at their own pace, with an eye towards improving their overall vocal range, tone, breath management, harmony, and performance.
